On September 17–18, small business owners from around the country came to Washington, DC to make their voices heard: tariffs are hurting their businesses, employees, and communities.
Over the course of two days, more than 100 small business owners met with nearly 150 House and Senate offices to share firsthand how tariffs raise costs, cut into margins, and threaten jobs. These conversations weren’t abstract policy discussions—they were real stories about survival, growth, and the American entrepreneurial spirit.
One of the most powerful moments was gathering on the steps of the Supreme Court with U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell, who stood alongside small business owners to emphasize the stakes of tariff policy. Together, we underscored how tariffs ripple through entire communities—from higher prices for families to lost jobs and shuttered businesses.
